WEConnect is about levelling the playing field and enabling women to have a fair opportunity to tender for contracts, after which it is business as usual and the business must go through the standard corporate or government tendering process, and be assessed on their merits with no regard to gender.

WEConnect seeks to address by providing access to contracts.
Positive action is about encouraging under-represented groups to take advantage of opportunities. It should not be confused with positive discrimination, which is illegal.
